Beard and Eyebrow Transplant in Türkiye
Fine, naturally directed hair restoration for facial areas where detail matters most.
What beard and eyebrow transplant is
A beard or eyebrow transplant uses the same principle as scalp hair restoration: individual follicular units are taken from a donor area, usually the back of the scalp, and implanted into areas where hair is sparse or absent. This may be due to patchy growth, scarring, previous injury, over-plucking or genetic factors.
Facial hair grows in specific directions and angles, and eyebrows in particular are small, highly visible structures. Planning and fine technique are therefore especially important.
How the technique works
Grafts are generally harvested with the FUE method under local anaesthesia. For beard work, single-hair and two-hair units are commonly used, and are implanted at shallow angles that follow the natural growth direction of each facial zone.
For eyebrows, the shape, thickness and direction of the hairs are mapped carefully with you before the procedure begins. Hairs are implanted very flat and in fine, small incisions so that the result follows the natural flow of the brow.
- Design of the beard line or eyebrow shape with the patient
- Harvesting from the donor area, usually the scalp
- Creation of very small recipient sites
- Careful implantation at appropriate angles and directions
Who is a suitable candidate
People with patchy beard growth, scars in the beard area or thin eyebrows may be considered, provided that healthy donor hair is available and the skin in the recipient area is in good condition. A specialist evaluation will assess donor capacity and the number of grafts that are realistically needed.
Some conditions require extra caution or may make the procedure unsuitable.
- Adequate donor hair elsewhere on the scalp or body
- Stable skin in the area to be treated
- Realistic expectations regarding density
- Active skin infection or unstable autoimmune disease needing assessment first
Procedure day, recovery and results timeline
Beard transplants often take several hours, while eyebrows are usually shorter. You can typically leave the clinic the same day. Mild swelling, redness and small crusts are expected, and you will be advised to avoid rubbing, shaving or strong exercise for a period.
Crusts commonly fall away within about one to two weeks. Transplanted hairs often shed in the first weeks, with new growth beginning around the third to fourth month. Beard density continues to develop for up to around a year, and eyebrows typically look more settled after several months.
Risks and important considerations
Possible effects include temporary swelling, redness, folliculitis, ingrown hairs, uneven growth and a lower survival rate than expected. Transplanted scalp hair retains its characteristics, so eyebrow hairs may need occasional trimming as they can grow longer than natural brow hair.
Choose a team with specific experience in facial hair, since eyebrow direction and beard angles are very difficult to correct once placed. Discuss expectations, donor limits and aftercare in advance.
