All-on-4 and All-on-6 Full-Arch Fixed Teeth in Türkiye
A fixed set of teeth supported by four to six implants, planned for people who have lost most or all of their teeth.
What All-on-4 and All-on-6 are
All-on-4 and All-on-6 are techniques that support a full arch of fixed teeth on four or six dental implants, instead of one implant per missing tooth. They are used when an arch is missing, failing or no longer restorable.
Implants are positioned, and sometimes angled, to make use of the denser areas of bone, which can reduce the need for extensive grafting in some patients.
Compared with removable dentures, a fixed arch generally feels more stable, does not cover the palate in the upper jaw and does not need to be taken out at night. It does, however, require dedicated cleaning beneath the bridge using special brushes or irrigators.
How the treatment works
Planning relies on a clinical examination, three-dimensional imaging and often a digital design of the final bridge. Failing teeth, if present, are removed and the implants are placed in the same session where conditions allow.
A fixed provisional bridge is commonly attached shortly afterwards, while the implants integrate with the bone. After a healing period, usually several months, the definitive bridge is made and fitted.
- Assessment, imaging and digital planning
- Extraction of failing teeth if needed
- Implant placement and provisional bridge
- Healing, then the definitive bridge
Who is a suitable candidate
Candidates are typically adults who have lost most of their teeth in an arch, or whose remaining teeth are not saveable because of decay, gum disease or damage, and who prefer a fixed solution to removable dentures.
Adequate bone volume, good general health and non-smoking habits help results. Where bone is limited, six implants or an alternative approach may be recommended. Suitability can only be determined by an individual specialist evaluation.
Procedure day, recovery and results timeline
Surgery is performed in a single appointment per arch. Swelling, bruising and tenderness are common for several days, and a soft diet is usually recommended for a number of weeks to protect healing implants.
The provisional bridge allows you to speak and smile during healing, though it is not designed for hard foods. The definitive bridge is usually fitted after three to six months, when stability has been confirmed.
Risks and important considerations
Risks include infection, implant failure, swelling, nerve or sinus complications and mechanical problems such as fractured or worn bridge components. Heavy grinding can place additional load on the prosthesis.
Long-term success depends on careful cleaning around the bridge and regular professional maintenance. Arranging a second visit and local follow-up is an important part of planning.
Ask your clinic about the materials used for the bridge, such as acrylic, composite or zirconia, and how repairs or replacements would be handled in the future.
