Breast Augmentation, Lift and Reduction in Türkiye
Personalised breast surgery planned around your anatomy, proportions and goals.
What breast aesthetic surgery is
Breast aesthetic surgery covers three main procedures. Augmentation increases volume with implants or, in selected cases, fat transfer. Mastopexy, or breast lift, raises and reshapes sagging breasts. Reduction removes tissue to lessen size and weight.
These can be combined, for example a lift with implants, depending on tissue quality and the result you hope for.
The right choice depends on your own anatomy, including chest width, skin elasticity and the position of the nipple. During the consultation your surgeon should explain the options, show the likely scar positions and discuss what may or may not be achievable in a single operation.
How the techniques work
For augmentation, an implant is placed through an incision beneath the breast, around the areola or in the armpit, either behind the gland or beneath the chest muscle. Implant size, shape and profile are chosen to suit chest width and tissue.
Lift and reduction involve removing excess skin and, for reduction, glandular tissue, then repositioning the nipple and reshaping the breast. The incision pattern depends on the amount of correction required.
- Augmentation: implant pocket and choice of implant
- Lift: skin removal and repositioning
- Reduction: removal of tissue and reshaping
- Combined procedures where appropriate
Who is a suitable candidate
Candidates are generally healthy adults whose breast development is complete and who have stable weight. Reduction may also be considered for physical symptoms such as back or shoulder discomfort.
Pregnancy plans, breastfeeding, smoking and certain health conditions should be discussed, as they can influence timing and choices. A personal examination by a specialist surgeon is required before any recommendation.
Procedure day, recovery and results timeline
Surgery is done under general anaesthesia, and a support garment is worn afterwards. Soreness, swelling and tightness are expected in the first days, and pain is managed with medication.
Many patients return to desk work within one to two weeks, while heavy lifting and vigorous exercise are generally avoided for several weeks. Swelling settles over weeks to months, and scars mature gradually over a year or longer.
Sleeping on the back with the upper body slightly raised and wearing the supportive garment as directed are commonly advised in the early weeks.
Risks and important considerations
General risks include bleeding, infection, scarring, asymmetry, changes in nipple sensation and unfavourable healing. Implants may cause capsular contracture, rupture or shifting, and are not lifelong devices, so replacement or revision may be needed in future.
Regular breast checks and imaging advice remain important after surgery. Ask about implant type, warranty information and follow-up arrangements before deciding.
